Gary Barlow has made the surprise claim that he was handed a starring role as a bar singer in one of the Star Wars movies – but the scene got cut.

The 49-year-old Take That legend was due to showcase his vocal skills in a Galaxy far, far away in a scene of the 2017 film Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

But the How Deep Is Your Love singer was relegated to playing a fighter within the Jedi approved Rebel Alliance instead. Gas made his shock claim during a discussion on Ayda Williams’ Postcards from the Edge podcast – revealing last minute script changes saw his singing voice silenced in the multi-billion dollar film franchise.
