The odds on Gareth Southgate becoming the next Manchester United manager have shortened with bookmakers. The England manager is reportedly in the running to take over at Old Trafford next season and is now as short as 3/1 with some bookies.
Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter, Sporting's Ruben Amorim and outgoing Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel are all among the favourites, in terms of the odds, to get the United job should Erik ten Hag leave his post.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos, who now have a controlling share of United, are said to be considering Ten Hag's future. The Dutchman helped his case with a thrilling 4-3 win over Liverpool on Sunday to book United's spot in the FA Cup semi-finals.
But United are still at risk of finishing the season trophyless and without Champions League football for next season.
