Wales star Bale, 30, has a contract in the Spanish capital until 2022. But he has endured a difficult campaign this term, scoring just three times in 18 appearances.
The Welshman is down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane, having been close to departing last summer for China - only to see president Florentino Perez change his mind at the last minute.
Bale has claimed on numerous occasions since that he remains keen to see out the remainder of his £600,000-a-week deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.
