PlayStation Network (PSN) has been having issues with experiencing a multi-hour outage that started Friday (February 7) evening.
According to Sony’s PSN status page, account management, gaming and social, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and the PlayStation Direct website are all currently experiencing issues.
Specifically for gaming, Sony says: “You might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features.” It has pledged fix the problems “as soon as possible.” The news spread as the official @AskPlaystation account shared a post on X saying: "We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN." It directed those suffering issues to its PlayStation Network Service Status page.
The news has led many gamers to say one thing – that people should get an Xbox instead. One user encouraged others: "Time to get an Xbox," while another agreed that "Xbox was superior".
