Game of Thrones star Rory McCann looked completely different when he started his modelling career two decades ago. The Scottish actor, 52, is best known for playing the role of Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane on the hit HBO Max drama, but he wasn't always so intimidating.

The Glaswegian star was the face of Scott's Porage Oats when he started out, and is unrecognisable to fans compared to how he looks now.

Before staking a lead role in the fantasy series alongside Emilia Clarke and Kit Harrington, The Hound actor set pulses racing as he wore a vest and kilt for the iconic TV campaign, which is worlds away from the roles he's played since.The Scottish star just had one other acting role before the porridge gig, where he starred as an extra on the 1988 film Willow.It was the turn of the century where Rory's career started to take off, with 2002 seeing him take on a major role in a comedy TV drama called The Book Group.After playing the disabled personal trainer, Rory won the Scottish BAFTA for the best TV performance.Ever since then, the star has had a successful career filled with many different roles such as Detective Inspector Stuart Brown in State of Play, Peter the Great in Peter in Paradise and as a priest in the award-winning show Shameless.His Hollywood debut came in 2004 in Alexander which he had to film in multiple different locations.Shooting for the movie was located in a mix of the African desert as well as shooting scenes in studios in London, Thailand and Morocco.2007 saw Rory turn his hand to starring in Hot Fuzz when he played Michael 'Lurch' Armstrong.During his time on Game of Thrones, Rory also got the chance to work alongside his sister, Sally-Gay McCann, who worked on the costumes for the popular show.Howe
