Talented Granada Reports journalist Teresa McMahon was the victim of abuse in the days leading up to her death, her grieving sister has claimed at a pre-inquest review hearing.
The 43-year-old producer and news editor was found dead after hanging at her flat in Little Hulton, Salford, on August 3, 2021 by her father Bernard and another man, senior coroner for Manchester West Timothy Brennand was told.

READ MORE: Tributes paid to 'gifted' and 'tireless' Granada Reports journalist following shock death Naomi told Mr Brennand that Teresa had never shown any expression of 'self-harm or suicidal intent' and was not under the treatment of mental health services.
However, she raised 'safeguarding concerns' around her sister. During the hearing, it was established that reports of concerns over abuse had been reported to police before her death - by friends, colleagues and family members.
