Jeon Soyeon, the leader of K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE, has revealed that she makes up to US$700,000 in a month.YouTube channel Pixid recently released the latest episode of its series Country Kitchen Dream, hosted by (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon.
For the episode, the K-pop idol enlisted rapper Lee Young-ji as the guest, and during the show, the duo discussed how much they earn in the industry.Lee revealed that her income has “extreme ups and downs”, a sentiment which Soyeon echoed.
The K-pop idol then revealed that “in a really good month”, she has earned up to KRW1billion, which is roughly US$720,000. “But sometimes I might earn $100, that’s how it is,” she added.In response, Lee jokingly said that Soyeon “earns more but reduced it a little”.
She added: “I have a gut feeling, because the figures don’t add up.”Notably, Soyeon has co-written and -produced the vast majority of (G)I-DLE’s discography since their 2018 debut, including international hits such as ‘Queencard’ and ‘Tomboy’.
