Council services for vulnerable adults have been agreed for a further year and three months in Salford following approval from the mayor and his cabinet.

The adult social care provisions in Salford include direct payments for specialist needs equipment in the home, Community Occupational Therapy Service, Wheelchair Clinics, Equipment Services, and adaptations to the property from the Accessible Accommodation Services.

This extension was agreed between Salford City Council, NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA).

A cabinet meeting held at Salford Civic Centre on April 26 saw the contract with an annual worth of £100 million approved by Salford City Mayor Paul Dennett.
