Tories are hiring a “Grenfell tsar” on £130,000 a year – as families still face a bitter fight for justice. Government housing chiefs want an expert to oversee safety at the blaze site, liaise with relatives of those who died and ensure future blocks are safer.
But campaign group Justice 4 Grenfell says the Government is focused on creating more jobs for cronies instead of using cash to help the victims.
Families got as little as £10,000 compensation after the blaze which left 72 dead in Kensington, West London, on June 14, 2017.
