A mum says she had to remove her disabled son from an NHS hospital while he received care because his room was "shockingly dirty".

Amie Thubron's son Kieran, who has Down's syndrome and is non-verbal, was rushed to A&E at Pilgrim Hospital after suffering his first-ever major epileptic fit.

Kieran, 19, spent a week on a ward, but his mum claims she had no choice but to take him out of the hospital in Boston, Lincolnshire, due to the conditions there.

Amie, 36, claimed to LincsLive that she witnessed a lack of precautions against coronavirus, she had to wipe down her son's bed after he vomited, and the room wasn't visited by a cleaner the entire week they were there.
