Supermarkets across the UK have slashed the price of vegetables to help shoppers make their Christmas dinner more affordable.The price war on festive veggies usually kicks off in the last week before Christmas Day, with staples such as carrots, parsnips, Brussels sprouts and swede slashed down to just pennies per packet.Aldi was the first supermarket to drop their prices this year, as the German budget supermarket has brought back its "Super Six" campaign with prices as low as 15p.Meanwhile, many other major supermarkets including Asda, Lidl, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury's have also started dropping their prices across some of your favourite Christmas veggies.
