A raft of pothole-ridden roads and cracked footways in Renfrewshire will undergo a makeover as part of a comprehensive programme of works.
Dozens of carriageways and pavements in Paisley, Renfrew and elsewhere have been earmarked for resurfacing by Renfrewshire Council in 2024/25.
A total of £5 million will be invested in maintenance and improvements in this financial year – a sum that adds to the £6.7m spent in 2023/24.Councillor Kenny MacLaren, an SNP representative for Paisley Northwest, said: "I'm happy with the roads included in my ward which are needing resurfaced.
Overall it's good to see this much-needed investment in roads in Paisley and across Renfrewshire."Councillor Will Mylet, an SNP representative for Paisley East and Central, said: "I've been asking for Glenapp Road to be resurfaced for a few years now so I'm glad that's finally being done.
