The government's roadmap, published in February, said it was hoped that "all the remaining rules that are stopping people from getting together" could be lifted as part of step four on June 21.
That would allow pubs and restaurants to remove social distancing measures, nightclubs to re-open and big events to resume. Rules on masks, social distancing and working from home would also be dropped.
