Frustrating wait for lift to be reinstated at Lanarkshire tower block is finally over

A North Lanarkshire councillor welcomed the installation of a replacement life at a Motherwell tower block while voicing his frustration at the length of time it took.The replacement lift for the odd numbered properties at Barons Tower in Muirhouse has now been installed but was unavailable to residents for a total of 15 months, with many target completion dates missed.The most recent completion date of January 18 for the works was again missed compounding the misery for residents in the block.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
