Building a business from the ground up takes stamina, drive and a brilliant idea. For some entrepreneurs, implementing their big idea can take decades, but this scrappy young pair from Manchester have shown that success can be had at any age.

In only two years, Joseph Shenton and James Pullen, both just 21 years old, have worked hard to build Joseph James Furniture Outlet, which is now steadily turning over £100,000 a month.

Having recently upgraded to a warehouse in Altrincham, the best-friends sell high-quality sofas for a fraction of the retail price.

Their journey began when they left Manchester Grammar School in August of 2019, and the business was incorporated in the December of the same year.
