The actor revealed his cancer battle just months before, following the Friends Reunion Special, which he was unable to attend.
Variety confirmed the sad news, writing that James passed away “peacefully.” “I was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, which had spread to my bones,” James had told Today in June. “I’ve been dealing with that diagnosis for almost the past three years. … It’s stage 4 (now).
