Teri Garr, the Oscar-nominated actress, has sadly passed away at the age of 79.Teri was a well-known figure in the acting world, with her most notable roles including Tootsie (1982).
She also played Phoebe Abbott, the biological mother of Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow's character) in the popular sitcom Friends.
According to Variety, Teri passed away in Los Angeles this week, leading to an outpouring of tributes from fans who fondly remember her roles spanning her career which began in the 1960s.
She had a role in Francis Ford Coppola's The Conversation (1974), and that same year, she starred as Inga, Dr. Frederick Frankenstein's assistant (played by Gene Wilder) in Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein (1974).
