Friends of cancer-stricken Wishaw teen raise thousands thanks to Pretty Muddy event

A group of teenagers teamed up to raise thousands of pounds for their friend recently diagnosed with Leukaemia. Over 30 friends of 19-year-old Wishaw woman Ayley Crawford took on the Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life Pretty Muddy event in Strathclyde Park.

The squad took part in the mud-splattered 5k obstacle course and have raised over £11,000 for the charity.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

There was an obstacle every 500 yards so we all helped each other.“We got so much support on our donation page. We even got donations from our old teachers at Coltness High School.”Faith and the team picked up over £9500 in donations.However, thanks to around £2500 being sent
