A friend of a popular scaffolder who died after a tragic trampoline accident has paid tribute to him. Rob Harcourt, 37, from Stockton suffered a “catastrophic” injury after a freak accident involving a trampoline and passed away despite medic’s best efforts and weeks of fighting for his life.

Following the fall, Rob had a cardiac arrest in hospital and needed surgery after fluid was found in his brain. Amanda Jones - a friend of Rob’s who set up a Go Fund Me page for the scaffolder’s partner Jade Higgins and mum Jackie Graves, which has raised £9,300 at the time of publishing - paid an emotional tribute.
