When you are nearly 80 then clearing out your wardrobe and changing your outfit is probably expected – and that’s what Royal Bank of Scotland is doing with its mobile branch network.It might be hard to believe but Royal Bank’s mobile branch fleet has been serving villages, towns and cities across Scotland for 77 years.

Whether it is personal or business customers, its mobile branches have been helping the public, especially in rural communities, keep their finances on track – even when customers live off the beaten track.Fiona Easton, director at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “At Royal Bank of Scotland weare very much committed to helping our customers, families, young people and communities to thrive – and our mobile branch network is one of the resources we offer our customers to help our customers achieve that.“Our customers love our mobile branches and one of the reasons they love it is it’s a really convenient way for them to do their banking, manage their money and manage their finances, especially in remote areas.“As technology has advanced then so have the branches so they can manage their money digitally via the mobile branch or their app and even learn more over the counter on what the digital platforms can offer.
