Fred Savage has essentially been fired from The Wonder Years reboot. According to Deadline, the 45-year-old actor, who was a director and executive producer on the rebooted series, will no longer be part of the production following an internal investigation into inappropriate behavior. Click inside to read more… “Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched,” Wonder Years producer 20th Television said in a statement. “Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of The Wonder Years.” Deadline says that “details about the nature of the allegations are unclear” but rumors of “verbal outbursts and inappropriate behavior” were part of the accusations against Fred.
In 2018, Fred was accused of inappropriate behavior as well. Youngjoo Hwang, a costumer on Fox’s The Grinder, sued Fred and the network, with claims including that he hit her arm and yelled at her not to touch him while she was dusting his outfit on set, and that he engendered a hostile environment for women.
