Three-year-old Chase was playing in the pool to cool off during the recent bout of warm weather when an accident injured his spinal cord.

He’s now got months of recovery ahead of him with a 50 percent chance of being able to walk again. His owner, Terri Higgins, has now been left with an eye-watering £8,000 bill, an amount that has doubled since she first took Chase to the vets.
