Four children were rushed to hospital after crashing through ice while playing on a frozen pond. Police revealed this evening that the youngsters suffered cardiac arrests as a result of plunging into the below-zero water and are now on life support, our sister title The Mirror reports.
They were pulled from the lake after emergency service crews raced to the scene this afternoon. Rescue teams also searched the freezing lake for other survivors on a day which brought snowfall.
Paramedics, police officers and firefighters were called to the scene after reports and videos of those involved emerged online.
