Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Davidson told Times Radio Breakfast that the Prime Minister is at odds with the rest of the G7 on aid. She said: “He’s about to have the biggest opportunity on the world stage that he’s had in his premiership, which is inviting the G7 in.

Not a single other country in the G7 has cut their aid this year, even though they’ve all got Covid problems with the economy.”She added: “ In fact, the Americans have increased it by 14 billion dollars.

Germany is going to go past the 0.7 per cent for the first time ever, France is going to hit the 0.7 per cent. We are the only country that is walking away from our responsibilities and it doesn’t benefit us right now.”“It’s not just a moral argument in other people’s interests.
