A former soldier who was caught with child abuse images had a bomb stored in a paint tub at the side of his bed when his home was raided.
Detectives who carried out a search of Christopher Moore's home found the munitions - with 'bomb' and 'explosive' clearly written on them - in his bedroom.
At Perth Sheriff Court on Monday, Moore was placed under supervision and on the sex offenders register for two years, and told to complete 230 hours unpaid work.
The court was told bomb disposal experts had to be called upon to assess the danger posed by the illicit stash and they discovered a number of live bullets.
