Footage has emerged of police officers arresting drinkers gathered for a bash at a Glasgow pub in the minutes before the bells.
Several police officers are seen arresting a man and a woman who were both taken to the ground and handcuffed during the Hogmanay incident.
A number of cops were trying to get drinkers at the Avant Garde bar in the city’s King Street to leave the premises after attending at 11.30pm.
Patrons can be seen allegedly refusing to drink up at their table.Later the footage shows a man being put in a headlock and dragged to the ground before being arrested.Minutes later a woman saying she is the man’s friend is also grabbed and arrested by officers.Revellers at the pub claimed to be as old as 75 and condemned the police
