Partick Thistle are reported to be in the driving seat to land Zak Rudden for the long-term amid interest from Motherwell.The Scotland youth international is a product of the Rangers youth academy and has impressed for Thistle since joining in 2020.He is out of contract in the summer and clubs are inevitably eyeing up his signature, with Motherwell one of the clubs keen on Rudden.Graham Alexander's side were reported to have submitted a bid for the forward but this is wide of the mark.St Johnstone have had bids thrown out while three English clubs are also monitoring the situation.
But according to The Herald, it's current club Partick Thistle who are set to obtain Rudden's services. They are believed to be in 'pole position' for his signature.
Thistle have offered two extensions to Rudden and while nothing has been agreed yet, he is still open for staying in Maryhill beyond the summer.Motherwell will soon be a striker down after Tony Watt's pre-contract agreement with Dundee United.
