One time Manchester City record signing Michael Robinson has died aged 61. Robinson, who was signed by Malcolm Allison for £750,000 in 1979, had been suffering from skin cancer.
It was a then British record fee for a teenager, but the striker spent just one season at Maine Road, scoring eight goals in 30 games.
He went on to lift the league title and European Cup with Liverpool in 1984 and won 24 caps for Republic of Ireland. His family confirmed the news via his social media account on Tuesday morning.
