Rightly or wrongly, Jack Grealish has been under the spotlight pretty much constantly since he joined Manchester City in the summer of 2021.
City broke the British transfer record when they activated the £100m release clause in Grealish's Aston Villa contract, and after enjoying a productive season at the Midlands club supporters understandably expected big things.
The England attacker was a bit underwhelming for all concerned - while new signings often take at least one full season to adapt to Pep Guardiola's system, Grealish didn't really do enough to justify the huge fee City laid out for him.
Of course, Grealish had no say in his transfer fee, but a return of three goals and three assists in the Premier League was not really good enough.
