Joe Gatto is breaking his silence on the recent sexual assault allegations made against him. On Thursday (March 20), a 19-year-old woman took to TikTok where she claimed, “I got sexually assaulted by Joe Gatto, the Impractical Joker.” The woman, who posts under the handle joozyb, claimed that she met Joe, 48, in September 2023 while he was performing in Milwaukee.

She then went to allege that she asked him for tickets to his show, then chatted on Instagram DMs, and then he invited her to his hotel where the alleged sexual assault took place. Keep reading to find out more…After the woman’s allegations made headlines, Joe released a statement denying her claims. “I have used poor judgment and as a result have violated the trust of the people I love most,” Joe shared in a statement via Variety. “But anyone who knows me at all knows full well that I wouldn’t assault anyone,” he continued. “Working on myself is an ongoing process, and I am now going to take some time away from the public eye to focus my energies where I need to.” Joe announced his exit from Impractical Jokers in late 2021 when he also announced his split from wife Bessy after 8 years of marriage.
