Albion Rovers have appointed former Hamilton Accies and Hearts boss Sandy Clark as their new manager. The 66-year-old ex-Rangers player, who hails from Airdrie, takes the reins after Brian Reid was sacked on Saturday in the aftermath of a 1-0 defeat to Bonnyrigg Rose, which leaves the Wee Rovers a point adrift of their rivals at the bottom of League Two.It's not the first time Clark has been in the Cliftonhill dugout, having served as Darren Young's assistant at Rovers when they won the Second Divsion title in 2014/15.The Coatbridge club are desperate to avoid the drop into the Lowland League and have turned to a man who was managing in the fifth tier this season.Clark arrives having spent a short spell in charge at East Stirlingshire, a club he only joined in November. He does bring a wealth of SPFL experience to the table.
