Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Fir Park until 2022.The 20-year-old saw a £3million summer move to Celtic fall through after a medical flagged up a pre-existing knee problem, which required surgery.Turnbull returned to the field last month after a lengthy layoff, climbing off the bench in a 2-1 defeat at home to St Mirren.And now he wants to repay Motherwell and the fans for the support they have given him during his recovery.Turnbull said: "As soon as I knew I was back, fit and ready to get some game time, I wanted to make sure my contract was sorted."I have been here a long time.
