Manchester City’s forgotten winger Patrick Roberts has been told that a move back to Celtic would be a “good move” for both the player and the club.
Roberts joined City from Fulham as a youngster back in 2015 but has spent the majority of his career away from the Etihad Stadium on various loan deals.
The 23-year-old started the current campaign on loan at newly-promoted Norwich City but made just three league appearances for the Canaries in the first half of the season before returning to the club.
He was promptly sent back out on loan to Middlesbrough but has only managed three Championship appearances since signing in January.
