The UK Foreign Office has issued travel warnings for Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic after the region was hit by heavy flooding.
At least 16 people were killed by floods in Poland and the Czech Republic as Storm Boris brough record rainfall to the continent.
It’s thought the storm could hit Slovakia and Hungary next, meanwhile major clean up operations are taking place in countries in central Europe as streets were left covered in debris and mud on Monday.
Following an emergency government meeting, Polish prime minister Donald Tusk announced a state of natural disaster in flooded areas to facilitate evacuation and rescue operations, and expedite financial support for the victims.
