Chatting with Jamie Laing on the Great Company podcast, Jack confessed: "The dad bod had set in and I was drinking wine every night.
I went to a doctor and he told me I had pre-gout that was a big wake-up call. My dad had gout and I have made jokes about him having gout relentlessly on our shows." He proudly added, "But now I am post pre-gout, I am proud to say.
And I didn't have gout." This revelation comes after Jack's cheeky confession on The One Show, where he shared a "vicious lie" about his dad, Michael Whitehall, saying: "We loved working together.
