The 46-year-old was struck by a blue Seat Ibiza at the junction of Ashton New Road and Clayton Street in Clayton shortly before 7am on Easter Sunday (April 4).
He was rushed to hospital after the crash, but was sadly pronounced dead. Floral tributes have now been left at the scene. A bunch of flowers has been tied to a lamp post on Ashton New Road.
Another bunch has been placed on the floor. Police have also placed a sign at the scene urging witnesses to come forward. The man has not yet been named.
