Flight attendant says buying airport chocolate is 'best way' to get seat upgrade

A flight attendant has revealed some of the reasons why airlines upgrade passengers for free, and all it usually takes is a small act of kindness.

TikToker Cierra, who posts under the username @cierra_mistt, shared a couple of things that holidaymakers can do that may result in a first-class service onboard their flight.

It's apparently as simple as "being nice", which flight attendants are always appreciative of. There are also some more specific ways that people can reportedly be upgraded for free - including buying snacks for the crew, the Express reports.

In Cierra's video, she said: "The miracles we can work when we are given some Starbucks or a pack of chocolate."Especially on those long days when we have back-to-back flights and we don't even have time to go get some food."Boarding your flight with sweet treats and coffees for the staff is supposedly one of the most effective ways to get better treatment, and most cabin crew know about this - repeating the same behaviour when they're looking for an upgrade on their own holidays.
