Flavor Flav is such a big fan of the Olympics and he decided to step up when he learned about the struggles that athletes go through to get to the games.

U.S. women’s water polo captain Maggie Steffens recently revealed that “most Olympians need a 2nd (or 3rd) job to support chasing the dream (myself included!) and most teams rely on sponsors for travel, accommodations, nutritional support, rent/lodging, and simply affording to live in this day and age.” Flav has now signed a five-year sponsorship deal as the official hype man for the USA Water Polo Women’s and Men’s National Teams. “I realize how unexpected this partnership is,” said Michaela Spector, Director of Marketing, USA Water Polo. “Flavor Flav‘s star power and passion for supporting athletes will bring a new level of excitement and visibility to water polo.
