Five men have been charged with criminal offences following arrests at this year's Parklife festival, police have revealed.
And a sixth man arrested - caught and held attempting to enter the festival grounds with a knife - has been locked up, the force has confirmed.
Greater Manchester Police said Atiqe Edwards, 18, of no fixed address, was sentenced to eight months in a Young Offenders' Institute on Monday for possession of a bladed article.
The festival at Heaton Park took place over the weekend alongside a number of concerts in or around Manchester. Over 400,000 people are estimated to have attended the events in total, with more than 160,000 at Parklife alone.
