First look photos: Cillian Murphy films the long-awaited ‘Peaky Blinders’ movie

It hasn’t been revealed if troubled co-star Paul Anderson, who played Tommy’s hot-tempered brother Arthur, will return for the film.
In January, he pleaded guilty to drug possession and was fined. It also hasn’t been officially confirmed yet if Tom Hardy will return as the eccentric Jewish gangster Alfie Solomons, Tommy’s sometimes frenemy, sometimes ally.
The show follows Tommy Shelby (Murphy), a gangster in post-World War I era Birmingham, England, who is trying to rise in the world while also trying to wrangle the unruly members of his crime family, including his brothers Arthur (Anderson) and John (Joe Cole), his sister Ada (Sophie Rundle), his aunt Polly (Helen McCrory, who tragically died of cancer in 2021 at age 52), and his wife Lizzie (Natasha O’Keeffe).
