First Lady Jill Biden Tests Positive For Covid

President Joe Biden tested negative on Monday evening and “will test at a regular cadence this week and monitor for symptoms,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement.
The Bidens visited Florida on Saturday to talk to those impacted by the hurricane. The president spoke at a Labor Day event in Philadelphia earlier on Monday.
The first lady will remain in Rehoboth Beach, DE, where the Bidens have a home. The Bidens each tested positive for Covid in the summer of 2022.
After being treated with Paxlovid, the president experienced a rebound of the virus. The first lady’s positive case comes amid an upswing in Covid in certain parts of the country.
