First Bus to meet with residents about reinstatement of X1 route to Glasgow

A bus company plans to hold passenger surgeries and a community recruitment event in a community where residents are campaigning for the return of a much-missed route.First Bus confirmed that they will host the public sessions in Hillhouse, following a meeting with constituency MSP Christina McKelvie where she highlighted the impact of the 2020 withdrawal of the X1 service.The public transport operator reiterated that they are being affected by driver shortages, but that they will “continue to keep an open mind on future growth opportunities”.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
