Now, at this ecstatic point, were we all willing to think of Aberdeen, Washington as a distant greater-L.A. suburb, just for the sake of getting some “Territorial Pissing”?
Yes, we were. But for the most part, there was some adherence to the idea that this was spiritually a local event, even as an appeal was being made to the rest of the country to feel the pain of affected Southern Californians and generously give.
