Fire takes hold at Scots flat as man seen leaping from balcony

Emergency service swarmed on a Scots housing scheme as a man jumped from a balcony, as flames ripped through the property.Crews were alerted to the incident at flats in the Halfway/Kirkhill area of Cambuslang tonight, Thursday, January 16.Footage shows police tape cordoning off an area, while smoke billows from of the property into the street.

Bystanders can be heard screaming as the incident unfolds.Another video shows a man standing on a balcony as flames engulf the property behind him.The man steps over the railings and hangs on the edge, before leaping from the balcony.A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "We can confirm we attended a fire at a premises in the Kirkhill/Halfway area of Cambuslang tonight but all enquiries on this incident are now being being directed to Police Scotland."
