Fire crews rush to takeaway blaze on Curry Mile

Fire crews rushed to Curry Mile after a fire broke out at a takeaway. Four engines were called to Wilmslow Road on Friday evening (December 6).

The blaze was extinguished and firefighters remain at the scene to secure the area. There have been no reports of any injuries.

Due to the incident, public transport has been diverted after the road was blocked. A spokesperson for GMP said: “At around 6.45pm on Friday 6 December, GMFRS crews were called to reports of a fire at a commercial building on Wilmslow Road, Manchester.
