Fire breaks out at Edinburgh flats as man rushed to hospital amid evacuation

A man has been taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a block on Edinburgh flats. The building on Broughton Street was evacuated around 5.20am this morning.

One man was rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. The road has been closed in both directions since 6am this morning and the public are being told by police to avoid the area.
