Final Stirling school badly damaged in Storm Eowyn to re-open to pupils

Stirling's final school to re-open adfter suffering damage during Storm Eowyn will welcome pupils back when it re-opens tomorrow.Stirling Council has confirmed that Borestone Primary and Nursery will re-open on Thursday.The school and nursery will re-open following the completion of essential safety work.

That includes the installation of a 'safety exclusion zone' around the area of the school damaged by Storm Eowyn. Guardians have been informed directly by the school about arrangements for the pupils' return.

Click here for more news and sport from the Stirling area. P7 pupils will be hosted in two classes at Stirling High and there will be a slight reconfiguration of the teaching space in some other classrooms.

Those are temporary arrangements are in place until next Friday, February 7, when the schools break up for the mid-term holiday.A council spokesperson said: "The installation of four temporary, external classrooms will take place during the mid-term holiday and be ready for the return of pupils on Monday, February 17."We thank parents and carers for their patience and understanding as we worked to get the school and nursey open again."
