Fetty Wap has been sentenced to six years in prison, the New York Times reports. The New Jersey rapper pleaded guilty last year to one count of conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine last year and faced a minimum sentence of five years.
Last week, prosecutors asked for a sentence of between "87 and 108 months," and accused Fetty Wap of glamorizing the drug trade in songs like "Trap Queen" and "Sweet Yamz." It was also claimed that Fetty Wap had admitted to a parole officer that "Trap Queen" was based on his experience selling drugs in New Jersey, actions that he was never charged for.
