Ferne McCann and fiancé Lorri Haines have shared that her voice note scandal almost caused the pair to split. Ferne, who is currently pregnant with her second child, got engaged to her beau last summer.Things haven’t been smooth sailing however, with the release of voice notes of Ferne being released online where she made some explosive comments about once-close friends Sam Faiers and Billie Shepherd, almost led to Lorri packing his bags.

Lorri was also part of the smear campaign with him facing accusations that he was only with Ferne for financial gain. Discussing the strain it put on their relationship, Lorri, 31, candidly told his fiancée: “I was like, I just want to go pack my bags and leave.” Reflecting on his comments, Ferne told the camera: “It’s not nice hearing the honest truth, but I can’t blame him for having those thoughts of wanting to leave.

Like, I wanted to leave. I wanted to run away from it. It was a sh*t, horrible situation. But the fact is, he didn’t [leave] and he showed up for me.” Lorri went on to reassure his wife-to-be: “This has made me and us collectively stronger.
