Fernandinho has decided to call time on his Manchester City career, bringing an end to his nine seasons at the club. The Brazilian, who currently has 375 club appearances for the Citizens, said that despite previous contract extensions, he would depart from the reigning Premier League champions this summer.
Fernandinho has been at City since 2013 and has been a reliable enforcer during his nine seasons at the club, as well as contributing to the teams attacking play often.
The Brazilian currently has 25 goals for the club, alongside 32 assists. Although his role has diminished somewhat recently, his leadership on and off the field is admired by all at City.
